FAR's Environmental and Social Best Practice Strategy provides a framework for research, development and extension activities to help growers protect their land and resources. The strategy divides research between four inter-related programmes:

  1. Climate change
  2. Resilient soils
  3. Sustainable management of resources
  4. Integrated, diverse farm systems

These four programmes are under-pinned by monitoring and measurement and shared through education and extension.
