Freshwater Farm Plans - what do they mean for you? 16 Jun 2023 Freshwater Farm Plans (FWFPs) are a new regulatory tool that require farmers to identify and manage the potential impact of farming activities on freshwater environments. FWFPs will be required in parts of Waikato and Southland from 1 August 2023, with the rollout phased across two years for Waikato and 11 months for Southland. They will be rolled out to all regions by the end of 2025.
